Energize Your Teaching with Tips from a Math Superstar at NMF Summer Institute

Oneonta, NY – June 11, 2013 – The Human Calculator, Scott Flansburg, will speak at the National Math Foundation Summer Institute on Wednesday, July 17 from 10-12pm. The NMF Summer Institute will be offered July 14-19th, 2013 at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY http://www.hartwick.edu/. It will be a fun week filled with hands-on and movement-based activities designed to improve physical fitness along with math knowledge.  Teachers will be given opportunities to share ideas and develop expertise in alternative teaching methods, especially movement-based learning, as well as practicing strategies with K-5 students at the Oneonta Family YMCA camp.
